We chose Eryn to be our doula as we welcomed our fourth son. Even though my husband and I were not strangers to childbirth, we knew we desired to use a doula this time - for both her wisdom and expertise, and also because my husband was still recovering from ankle surgery. Eryn is a wealth of helpful information. I loved how she came to our home and walked us through positions for labor. She is a calm, kind presence and I appreciated her being there as I labored at the hospital. She is also a great advocate for a less involved birth, and a great voice for when I felt too scattered to express my desires to the hospital nurses. Applying heat as I pushed was probably the main reason why I did not tear. She even brought us homemade goodies after we came home from the hospital. We're so grateful we had the opportunity to work with her!

"Eryn’s calming presence and sincere positivity were among the many qualities that made her the perfect doula for us! She listened to all of our concerns, sent us helpful information and we felt confident in the weeks leading up to the birth of our daughter. We experienced a beautiful birth that exceeded our expectations, and Eryn played a big part in that! We are grateful that she was with us through this major life experience!"

“We are so thankful that Eryn was a part of our birth experience. She walked us through so many important conversations and considerations as we prepared for our hospital birth. Due to COVID restrictions, Eryn could not be with us in person at the hospital. Eryn spent so much time with both of us in the months before birth, teaching Emily about pain management and the process of birth and showing Andy how to be an amazing and supportive birth partner. When our birth experience did not go as we imagined, we felt equipped to work together to manage the pain. In fact, nurses kept commenting that Andy sounded like he could be a doula himself! This was all thanks to the work that Eryn did with us to help us feel prepared. Thank you, Eryn!”"

“Eryn was an incredible blessing to my family before, during, and after my labor and delivery process! She was always prepared to help me in whatever way I needed. Prior to my labor, Eryn supplied me with book recommendations and other resources to help prepare me for labor. During my labor, she was an irreplaceable support. Eryn was present in the moment with me, supporting me through every contraction. She was a quietly reassuring presence, a doula who could anticipate every need and see that the necessary tasks were completed so that my needs would be met. After my labor she continued to encourage me, coaching me in breastfeeding techniques, bringing my family a wholesome meal, and providing me with a wealth of relevant information about infant care. Hiring Eryn as my doula enabled me to experience the kind of labor I had dreamed of!”

Eryn’s knowledge, expertise, and experience was invalueable in the delivery room and the days/weeks/months ahead of time preparing.
Our prenatal visits with Eryn were very thorough, discussing my health, preferences and birth plan. At every visit, I had a list of questions to ask which were answered with great detail and followed-up with further sources of information for me to delve into.
While my pregnancy was very smooth and uneventful, towards the end, it was obvious my baby wasn’t dropping far enough and thus not facilitating my body to go into natural labor. Finally, at 42 weeks pregnant and being forced to stray from our original birth plan, we had a scheduled induction in the hospital.
We spent 48 grueling hours in labor trying to get our baby out. The first 24 hours, Eryn was calling to check in and sending us exercises to try and get my baby to drop lower and move into a more ideal position, making sure I stayed walking and moving around but also resting and listening to my body. We were making progress the whole time, albeit rather slowly. 24 hours after we got there, Eryn joined. She had print-outs of positions and maneuvers and did all of the hip squeezes I begged for. She worked respectfully with the hospital staff and carried a powerful presence ensuring my boundaries were kept. Her assistance was not just physical but emotional. She empowered me to keep going when I felt I could not go anymore. 24 hours after her appearance we had our beautiful son in hand. Eryn was the reason I had a vaginal birth. Without her unmatched passion for helping others and vast knowledge of childbirth, I would not have continued progressing and would have ended up having a cesarean birth. Eryn’s support was unwavering from day 1. She truly was the best addition to our birthing team we could have made and I absolutely cannot imagine having another baby without her there to support me!
